AchariChicken is an Indian Dish that consists of cooking Chicken with the ingredients that are put in Achar (Indian style Pickle), so basically it is a mixture of pickle and chicken. Achari Chicken is mostly served in Indian or Pakistani kitchens, it is served dry or curry.

What is Achaar?
It is Indian Style Pickle which is made of various traditional spices and ingredients. This is eaten with various dishes. It is one of the most common items in the Indian Kitchen. Achaar has a spicy and tangy taste. There are various types of Achaar.

Why do I like Achari Chicken?
I like this dish for the following reasons:
  • Contains an unusual taste to it.
  • Can be enjoyed with various side dishes. 
  • It can be eaten both as Appetizer or Main course
  • It has a great flavor.

According to the Blog named “Playful Cooking” by Kankana she really enjoyed cooking this dish and Chicken did not need to be marinated to make it.

Why did I share this dish with you guys?
I shared it because it reminds me of my culture and my also because it has a unique taste to it.

  1. Great recipe! It's so refreshing to see an Indian chicken dish that isn't butter chicken. I will definitely be trying this one out--plus pickles?! What could be better? There should be a dedicated pickle food group!
